William Hill Premiership Fantasy Football is a skill-based competition that asks participants to assemble a William Hill Premiership dream team before each fixture round. The exercise hinges on strategic player selection and prudent budget management, rather than pure chance.

Points are awarded according to real-world performances in William Hill Premiership matches, and the accumulated scores determine monthly prize allocations as well as the season-ending rewards.

Two main play modes structure the experience:

1. Standard mode

   Default play format. Participants compete in a single general league, with rankings updated after every fixture round. In this mode, multiple managers may select the same players, allowing for straightforward participation without bidding or ownership constraints. The approach emphasizes comparison of squad choices on a common field.

2. Expert mode

   Advanced setup designed for private leagues. To participate, create or join a private league and select Expert mode. Players are allocated via a continuous auction, with exclusive ownership—each William Hill Premiership player can be owned by only one league manager at a time. This mode introduces a drafting dynamic and heightened competitive tension among friends over the season.
